Group classes are an integral part of our music program, designed to enhance and build upon individual lessons. These classes not only motivate and encourage students, but also prepare them for future ensemble activities. Regular attendance at group lessons is crucial to the success of Suzuki students, and we kindly request that parents accompany their children to provide support and encouragement.
Our group lessons are 30 minutes long, and we ask that you and your child arrive at least 5 minutes early to allow time for tuning and settling in. In order to ensure a smooth and enjoyable group class experience, we have established several guidelines for students and parents to follow. These include punctual arrival, maintaining order during class, and minimizing conversations to prevent distractions.

Parents play an important role in group lessons. If you are able to tune your child’s instrument, we encourage you to volunteer your services to the teachers. Additionally, please teach your child to line up for tuning and maintain a proper rest position for their instrument. Cooperation in these areas helps create a focused and organized learning environment for all.
Lastly, we understand that you may need to communicate with our teachers during group lesson days. However, since their schedules are tightly packed, we kindly ask that you save any discussions for your individual lesson time or contact them outside of group lessons. This consideration ensures that each student receives the full attention they deserve.
