Small Ensembles

We provide exceptional ensemble experiences for advanced students through our Chamber Ensembles and String Choirs. These programs allow students to explore different facets of ensemble playing, enriching their musical journey and honing their skills.

Chamber Ensembles, offered during the Fall Semester on Fridays, provide advanced students with the opportunity to perform in small groups, playing their own parts alongside others. This rewarding experience exposes students to some of the world’s greatest musical literature. To participate, students must be middle school age or above and demonstrate an advanced level of playing, with violinists at Book 5 or above, and viola and cello students at Book 3 or above.

In the Spring Semester, advanced students can participate in our String Choirs, which are homogeneous ensembles that meet on Fridays. This program allows students to perfect their technique and ensemble skills at an advanced level, covering more challenging literature than individual lessons. The captivating sounds produced by these choirs inspire both performers and audiences alike, offering a unique and fulfilling musical experience.
